Abstract:
The abstract should be less than 250 words and should explain what is the problem, the solution to the problem, and
the significance of the work.
Note: For a case report, the abstract can be waived off.
Keywords:
Mention 5-6 keywords after the abstract with font size 10.

Competing Interest: Authors should declare that no competing interest/conflict of interest exists.
Ethical Statement: Authors should declare that no violation of ethical regulations has occurred during their work.
Introduction:
Introduce your research theme carefully with the coherent flow and proper recent citations.

Material and Method:
In this section, authors are recommended to report the requirements and procedure of an experiment performed by them during their research work.

Result and Discussion:
The result and discussion should be provided separately. In the result section, the result of the experiment should be clearly reported. Moreover, in the discussion, the comparison of work needs to be done with proper references highlighting the significance of the work.

Conclusion:
Conclude your research work precisely.

Acknowledgement:
In this section, mention the people, and organizations that helped to complete the research work.

Authors’ Contributions:
Report the contributions of the authors.

For example, RD: Collected specimens, DD: Performed experiments, CD: Wrote manuscript.
Ethical Statement: The author should declare that the submitted work doesn’t violate ethical policies/guidelines.
Tables and Figures:
Use suitable figures as well as tables to support the data. Use precise headings for the same.

For example, Figure 1: Microbial diversity in the tropical forest; Table 1: Sampling stations across Maharashtra state of India.
Validity of statement:
Authors are recommended to perform statistical tests as per the requirements of their data to ensure the validity of statement. However, we prefer authors to examine their research outputs using the following one or more tests depending on the data need:

  • Replicates, independence of replicate measurements, finding significant p-value, procedures, for example, inter-observer reliability, triangulation, and/or audit trails.
  • Use of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPPS) Statistics version 13.0, to plot interaction effects.
  • Data are reported as number and percentage, mean ± standard deviation, or median and interquartile range [IQR] (bar chart).
  • Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Placket Burman design and calculations involved in it, Priori power-calculations for desired sample sizes.
  • Regression coefficient, error bars in graphs for figures, Pearson’s method for determining the correlation coefficient. Multiple correlation test.
  • Student T-test, Deciding one-tailed or two-tailed treatment, a Least significant difference.

These tests may not be applicable to the data that do not need these, for example, a case report.

Invited Types of Articles: Research Papers, Short Communications and Review Papers, Perspectives, Viewpoints, Editorial, Comment, Correspondence, Case Report, Letter to Editor, Erratum, Corrigendum, Commentary, Opinions.
Short Communication: Short communications should be framed like research articles.
Scientific Survey:
It should include the title, author affiliations, background, questionnaire, methods used, result, conclusion, and references.

Case Report:
Case report should involve the consent of the involved subject, for example, patient and/or hospital in case of the clinical case report, the background of the subject without exposing its identity, symptoms of the subject, results of biochemical, physical and/or other equivalent tests, in case of the clinical case report, treatment strategy, effects of the treatment and conclusion. The data should be represented with suitable figures, tables and other equivalent schematic representations. After the title, write the story and end it with a conclusion.

Commentary:
The commentary should be critical but in a respectful tone. It should involve, an introduction with a recognition of the fundamental problem, and the main body describing the main theme, subject and audience. The content should be specific and reliable; the commentary should end with a summary. After the title, write the content directly without headings and subheadings directly along with references.

Opinion:
It should include the title, content and references. It should be short and specific finding new arguments and getting to the point fast. The argument should be well structured and solutions to the problems should be offered. Active voice should be used avoiding jargon and giving a winning conclusion at the end with references.

Correspondence:
Correspondence articles are usually short articles. They should have words in the range of 1000-1500. These should analyze parts of previously published articles. They should discuss issues or findings in which the community is interested.

Synopsis:
The synopsis should be a summary of an article including arguments and a conclusion.

Peer-review Policy:
All submissions received by International Journal of Microbial Science are first reviewed for completeness by Chief Editor who decides whether those are comfortable for the peer-review process by the Double Blind Peer-review method. If an Editor is one of the authors, the work will be handed over to another board member for effective review. Editors are not bound to publish poor-quality work. The manuscript will be rejected if either Editor or any other board member raises the concern. The peer-review report is sent to authors after evaluation of their manuscripts with the editorial decision of rejection, revision, or acceptance. The Editorial Board Members review the manuscripts with help of external reviewers and some Editorial Board members of the journal.
