Oral ulcers [1] are caused to human beings by bacterial [2] and viral infections herpes simplex viral infection (cold sore virus) [3]. It includes constant destruction of the integrity of mouth epithelium with loss of connective tissue leading to crateriform appearance [4]. On 21 November 2024, a 20 years old female with 40 kg weight from Baramati, Maharashtra, India was reported with ulcer to her tongue (figure 1). From 23 November 2024 to 26 November 2024, co-incidentally, the patient consumed Panipuri in local market of Baramati. Accidently, she observed that the ulcer started to recover figure 2). On 27 November 2024, she reported complete recovery from the ulcer. The scientific investigation of the occurred incidence revealed that Panipuri in India contains Tamarindus indica water, Mentha spicata, Coriandrum sativum, sodium chloride, Cuminum cyminum Linn, Foeniculum vulgare. This area is open for future research for analysis of the treatment of the ulcer by any one or combination of these constituents of the food under study.
